(52) trip

I’ve taken a lot of memorable trips before, and I consider myself lucky for having had the opportunity to see as much as I have seen at my age. The most memorable one would probably have to be the cruise I took the summer before freshman year. I was spending the summer with my family in  California, and my grandparents had planned a family cruise to Mexico to celebrate their milestone anniversary. We boarded in Los Angeles and docked at three ports: Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. That was the first and only cruise I have ever taken, and it was an amazing time. There was unlimited food everywhere ALL the time, there were planned activities for teenagers, and best of all, I was with a bunch of my cousins who were around the same age as me. We made friends with THE cutest guys on that whole boat, because there was this place where teens could just come and chill and meet new people. I still remember their names and faces, because we managed to take some pictures with them to preserve the memories. For some unknown reason, we did not exchange email addresses or telephone numbers, or ANY sort of contact information, so they have been reduced to mere memories at the back of my mind. Pretty good (looking) memories, too. If only I knew their last names, I would probably be able to find them on Facebook, which wasn’t around (or at least wasn’t popular enough for me to know about it) at the time. Sigh. Good times…

  1. Oh my gosh! The summer before my freshman year my family went to Miami and me and my stepsister met some amaaazing guys! We hung out with them like the whole vacation. Oddly enough no contact information was exchanged. Or last names! So I totally understand your pain!

  2. Wow, a cruise from California to Mexico! That sounds fun. I traveled once on a cruise, but I was too young so I don't remember much about it.
