Phew! I finally finished and submitted my paper online. Making the references part was pretty time consuming; it’s probably my least favorite part about writing academic research papers. My last few paragraphs just had a few statistics and a summary of my whole research. Seeing as it is a draft and is only worth 5 points, I didn’t really slave over the editing and whatnot. I’m really glad I got that out of the way, since I have a few other things I have to focus on this week. I’m not extremely happy about the outcome of my paper, which is fine with me since it’s just a draft. I usually work on a paper until I’m absolutely satisfied with it, which takes a while. The process is quite tedious, since it involves peer editing and other things. I’m pretty anxious to see the results and feedback. Hopefully it isn’t too disappointing. I’m nervous about the “argument” part of the paper, since my episode analysis results said that my argument wasn’t firm enough and that I had to narrow it down a little more. But since I pretty much changed the whole angle of my paper, I’m not too sure if my new argument is good enough. I probably should’ve run it through Miss Chambers once more, but I guess it’s too late for that now. My real-world connection was rape, so it was pretty easy to look up and get statistics for. My family’s pretty happy about my paper being finished too since I stopped bugging them about it. Yay!
I am a little nervous too. She grades pretty hard.
